LT3 Box Width Measurement
As boxes of varying size travel down a conveyor, their positions are not fixed. The customer needs to know how wide each box is. Each LT3 sensor measures the distance between itself and the box (one measures distance A and the other, distance B). This information is transmitted to a PLC, which calculates the width W by subtracting A and B from the total distance between the sensors.
Objective:
To measure the widths of boxes on a conveyor.
Sensor Models:
Two LT3 diffuse-mode sensors, mounted opposite each other.
