MINI-SCREEN Large Press Guarding – Approach #1
In this example, the angled sensor approach to satisfying setback requirements saves installed system component and wiring costs. A possible drawback is the larger area occupied by the sensors, as compared to the dual sensor approach (#2).
Application:
Point-of-operation guarding of the opening to a high-tonnage press.
Guarding:
Setback requirements create a space between a vertical light curtain and the press which is wide enough for an operator to stand undetected by the vertical light screen. A MINI-SCREEN sensor pair is mounted at an angle to provide the required setback
