VS1 Conveyor Handling Inspection
The customer requires a small sensor that can detect many different colors of raw, unprocessed silicon wafers on a conveyor, with no adjustment to the sensor. The wafers may be many different colors due to various coatings used in the manufacturing process. The VS1 convergent sensor is mounted above the conveyor, looking down between the rollers. When a wafer passes under the sensor, light will reflect back to the sensor. The small size of this sensor makes it easy to mount in a small space, and its' high power provides reliable detection of the wafers.
Objective:
To detect the presence of wafers, in varying colors, on a conveyor
