Super flat magnetostrictive position sensor Posich

In recent years magnetostrictive position sensors working on the measurement principle of the elapsed time of a mechanical-elastic wave in a waveguide have strongly established their rank in the sensor market.

Common position sensors based on the magnetostrictive principle are usually built of square or rectangular profiles, as well as round gauge bars with flanges. However, they have one big disadvantage: because of their large volume they are not suitable for applications within narrow limits.

ASM큦 POSICHRON sensor family offers a new linear magnetostrictive position sensor model PCFP, which is extremely flat and therefore most suitable for applications in narrow environments. The total height of this sensor is just 13 mm. Moreover, there is absolutely no protrusion in form of screws, connectors or sensing probes.

This is a very important point for the user, who he can now carry out measurements even in very narrow applications, where POSICHRON Model PCFP still can be mounted.

The very flat position magnet can float over the total mechanical length of the sensor without colliding with projecting edges and borders.

A major benefit of this sensor is that due to its IP68 protection, the unit can underwater.
