PresencePLUS Missing PillBottle Label Detection
Bottles are conveyed past two PresencePLUS sensors-one on each side of the conveyor. A MINI-BEAM convergent mode sensor is positioned so that it triggers inspection of each bottle when the bottle is centered directly in front of both PresencePLUS sensors. All bottles must have two labels. A missing label results in a high dark pixel count for one or both inspection sensors. This production line runs over 400 different bottle/label combinations. Two model PRC1 hand-held controllers are kept at the inspection station to quickly and easily reprogram the PresencePLUS sensors (up to 4 times per 8-hour shift.)
Objective:
To verify the presence of a label on bottles.
