PresencePLUS Missing Instruction Card Inspection
Cartons are conveyed past the PresencePLUS inspection sensor, which inspects for the presence or absence of a printed instruction card. Cards appear mostly white to the PresencePLUS sensor. The metallic pouches reflect most of the light from the ring light away from the sensor and, therefore, appear mostly black. The PresencePLUS sensor registers over 50% fewer white pixels when a card is missing, and issues a reject command to the packaging machine.
Objective:
To verify the presence of an instruction card laying on top of products in an open carton.
