PresencePLUS IC Orientation Inspection
The PresencePLUS sensor checks the orientation of each IC, before they are transferred to a circuit board. A Region Of Interest (ROI) is drawn for the area of printed information, which registers the highest white pixel count. When the IC is in any of the other three positions, the resulting white pixel count is too low, and the IC is ejected from the indexing mechanism.
Objective:
To detect the correct orientation of an integrated circuit, before mounting the IC onto a circuit board.
Sensor Models:
PresencePLUS P1B65Q, triggered by indexing control.
