D11 Expert Print Verification
A D11 Expert Series sensor with a green light source is used with plastic fiber optic cable and a convergent lens to inspect for labeling on integrated circuits. Through push-button programming, the D11 Expert ¡°teach mode¡± sensor ¡°learns¡± the difference between the presence and absence of printing. The convergent lens is positioned 6 mm (0.24") from the surface of the integrated circuit; the individual plastic fibers of the second D11 Expert (in the opposed sensing mode) gate the inspection sensor to check for the printing when the leading edge of the integrated circuit is sensed.
