D10 Expert Poly Bag Seal Detection
Plastic bags are manufactured in a continuous web, with a seal and perforations between bags. To ensure the bag is properly separated from the web, a sensor is needed to send a signal to the separation mechanism. The bag seal acts as a registration mark. The low contrast capability of the D10 Expert sensor, plus the light-averaging ability of the PIL46U fibers, work to reliably sense the bag seal.
Objective:
To sense the seals in a continuous web of clear plastic bags
