PresencePLUS Correct Bottle Cap Verification
Pill bottles are conveyed past the PresencePLUS sensor, which checks for the correct closure. There are two styles of bottle caps used on this pharmaceutical bottling line. One cap is tamper resistant, and has embossed opening instructions. The other closure type is a basic cap with no instructions. A QS18 convergent mode sensor is positioned so that it triggers inspection of each bottle, when the bottle cap is centered directly below the PresencePLUS sensor lens. A bottle cap with the instruction produces a higher white pixel count. The PresencePLUS sensor is programmed to reject bottles with the wrong cap.
Objective:
To verify the correct style of bottle cap on each plastic pill bottle.
