PresencePLUS Missing Can Label Detection
Cans roll past the inspection point on a gravity-feed conveyor. A QS18 convergent mode sensor is positioned so that it triggers inspection of each can, when the can is centered directly below, and parallel to, the PresencePLUS sensor lens. A labeled can results in a high black pixel count. A missing label results in a high white pixel count. The PresencePLUS sensor is programmed to reject the cans which have missing labels.

To verify the presence of a label on cans
